AliCloud and leading large model enterprise Zero One Technology have announced an important strategic cooperation to jointly establish the "Industrial Large Model Joint Laboratory," marking deep collaboration between two tech giants in the field of AI. This cooperation will accelerate the transformation of large model technology into practical application scenarios and promote further integration of the industrial large model ecosystem. The newly established joint laboratory will cover three core areas: technology, business, and talent. By integrating the R&D advantages of both parties in the field of large models, the laboratory will focus on exploring next-generation foundational model technologies and will utilize AliCloud's capabilities.

On December 12, Peking University and ByteDance officially announced the establishment of the Doubao Large Model System Software Joint Laboratory, marking a new milestone in the collaboration between industry, academia, and research in China's AI field. The research work of the joint laboratory will be based on the Doubao large model independently developed by ByteDance. Researchers from universities and enterprises will conduct in-depth research on key technologies such as model training and inference within the laboratory. With the construction and development of the laboratory, a large number of Peking University students will also enter the laboratory for internships, working side by side with industry researchers.

The establishment of the joint laboratory signifies that both parties will engage in in-depth cooperation in cutting-edge technological fields such as large model pre-training, alignment, retrieval enhancement, intelligent agents, and multimodality. Renmin University of China will leverage its talent and technical advantages in large model research, combining forces with Baichuan Intelligence in engineering and product development to jointly advance related research and applications.
